SYPAQ is pleased to officially announce a collaborative partnership with Pelican to
deliver durable, deployable packaging solutions for the Corvo X Mission System under
Australian Army’s DEF129 Uncrewed Aerial System Program, enhancing its protection,
whilst optimising space and weight to support mobility, and field-readiness.
Pelican is a global leader in the design and manufacture of built to protect, high-performance protective cases, temperature-controlled packaging, and advanced lighting
systems with products deployed globally to military, emergency services, and industrial
sectors.
Working in a collaborative environment, this partnership combines SYPAQ’s innovative and world leading Corvo X SUAS with Pelican’s proven expertise in protective cases to deliver a SUAS Transport Hard Case built from the Pelican iM2975 Storm Travel Case and integrating a custom engineered shock mitigation system to transport the Corvo X Mission System. Providing ruggedised protection without compromising mobility, the Corvo X Mission System will consist of two Corvo X Air Vehicles, two Ground Control Stations and additional ancillaries for field support.
As part of this innovative collaboration, SYPAQ and Pelican have co-designed and
developed a soldier-packable foam case to enable the individual transport of Corvo X air
vehicles within a warfighter’s backpack. Engineered for optimal mobility and minimal
space and weight, the case combines SYPAQ’s advanced design capabilities with
Pelican’s industry-leading expertise in protective solutions. The result is a lightweight yet durable system that delivers exceptional protection built to withstand Australia’s
toughest conditions.
“This partnership with Pelican demonstrates our commitment to reducing both the
physical and cognitive load on Defence operators,” said Amanda Holt, CEO and
Managing Director of SYPAQ. “These systems are relied upon to deliver a safe, secure
capability advantage in the harshest of operational conditions – working with Pelican to
design a packaging solution that protects the technology whilst minimising the space and weight of the system is key to its operational effectiveness.”
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Australia’s sovereign
capability and ensuring mission-critical equipment arrives ready for use,” said Justin
Evans, Business Manager – Custom Case Solutions, Pelican Products Australia. “By
combining SYPAQ’s innovative Corvo X SUAS with Pelican’s proven expertise in
ruggedised protective packaging, we’ve engineered a protective system that safeguards
Corvo X throughout transport and deployment, while supporting the mobility and
efficiency of Australian soldiers in the field.”
SYPAQ is proud to showcase Corvo X at Indo-Pacific 2025 and will continue our strong
partnership with Pelican as we deliver Corvo X into service with the Australian Army.
