SYPAQ Leads Australia’s Counter Drone Innovation 12 May 2026

SYPAQ Systems Pty Ltd (SYPAQ) has welcomed the Australian Government’s announcement of funding under the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) Mission Syracuse, supporting the development of its Corvo Strike interceptor drone capability to strengthen the Australian Defence Force’s Counter small-Uncrewed Aerial System (CsUAS) capability.

The funding recognises SYPAQ’s proven track record as a 100 per cent Australian-owned, veteran-owned business, and its ability to rapidly deliver sovereign, affordable and combat-relevant uncrewed systems in support of Defence.

SYPAQ will use the investment to further develop Corvo Strike, an autonomous interceptor designed to track, target and neutralise medium-sized uncrewed aerial systems, including those increasingly proliferating on modern battlefields.

SYPAQ is the manufacturer of the Corvo family of sovereign autonomous systems, all designed, developed and manufactured in Australia. The Corvo family includes man-portable small uncrewed aerial systems, nano platforms, multispectral sensor payloads, hybrid maritime uncrewed systems and disposable uncrewed aerial systems.

SYPAQ Managing Director and CEO, Ms Amanda Holt said the Mission Syracuse investment reflected growing recognition of the importance of sovereign, scalable counter-drone solutions, and the need for rapid innovation and spiral development through life of the capability.
